Josephine Baker Bowman, 91, beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, was called by the Lord on Saturday, September 06, 2008 at Our Lady Mother of Perpetual Help Nursing Home.

Left behind to eternally treasure Josephines memory are her two sons: Lee and Henry Bowman; two daughters: Lillie and Shirley Bowman; three grandchildren: Lee Jr., Betty Jo, and Joe David; and a great-granson, Garrett Gordon. She will also be deeply missed by her four sisters: Lilia Gutierrez, Pime Montemayor, Aurora Cruhm, and Bertha Alvarez.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 8, 2008 in the East Chapel of Darling-Mouser Funeral Home, from 1 to 6 p.m. with the recitation of the holy rosary scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. this evening. All services will conclude Monday evening and in accordance with her wishes Josephine will be cremated.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that memorial gifts in Josephines name be made to Our Lady Mother of Perpetual Help Nursing Home, 519 E. Madison St., Brownsville, Texas 78520.
