Mrs. Jovita Perez Garcia, 79, our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend entered into the glory of her eternal life on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville after a brief illness.

Jovita, a native of Concepcion, Texas, had been a resident of Brownsville since 1956. Jovita was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with family and friends, and especially enjoyed reminiscing with them, her days as a young girl on the family ranch and dairy farm. Jovita loved gardening and working her arts and crafts making all kinds of decorations for each and every holiday.

Jovita was a devout Catholic and had been a member of St. Marys Catholic Church since the churchs ground breaking. Jovita was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by those fortunate to have known her.

Jovita was preceded in death by her husband, Matias D. Garcia her parents a sister, Francisca Saenz and a brother, Noe Perez.
