Juan C. Perez

BAYTOWN, TX. - Juan C. Perez entered into eternal rest on Saturday, the 10th of February 2024 in the comfort of his Baytown residence surrounded by his loving family. He was seventy-five years of age.

Juan was born in Harlingen, Texas on November 15, 1948, son of the late Juan and Laurentina Cardenas Perez. He worked with the Cameron County Sheriff’s Department for over twenty years and retired from the United States Marshals Service. His favorite pastimes included spending time with his family, deer hunting, and fishing. Juan had a funny, loving, and caring personality. He was a smart, wonderful man who offered advice to anybody that asked for it. He would light up the room and was truly the life of the party. Anybody that knew him loved him and he will be deeply missed.

Preceding Juan in death were his parents, Juan and Laurentina Cardenas Perez.

Survivors include his loving and devoted wife, Magdalena Perez; his children Laura Longoria, Daniel Perez (Nereida), Juan Perez, Robert Nieto (Mary Kathryn), Adriana Paredes (Luis), and Aglhaen Nieto-Cruz (Victor Cruz); as well as his eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, the 14th of February 2024 between the hours of twelve noon and nine o'clock at night, with the recitation of the holy rosary to begin at seven o'clock Wednesday evening within the East Chapel of Darling-Mouser Funeral Home.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at twelve noon on Thursday, the 15th of February 2024 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1200 Lincoln Street, Brownsville. All services will conclude at the church. Cremation will follow.
