Juan José García, 67, beloved father, brother, grandfather, uncle, and friend entered into the glory of his eternal life on Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2017, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Johnny, as he was affectionately known to all, was a native and lifetime resident of Brownsville. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with family and friends. Johnny was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed not only by his family and friends, but by all those fortunate enough to have known him.
Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, Juanita and Julian C. Garcia; a sister, Blanca G. Urbano, and a nephew, Hector Silva Jr.
Left behind to eternally treasure their memories of Johnny are his children: Juan José García Jr., Jerry James García, Juanita Jo Blea, and Jessica Jade Johnson; 6 grandchildren; 10 brothers and sisters: Julian (Lupita) García Jr., Ramon García, Maria Elena García, Apolonio E. (Alicia) García, Angelita G. (Alberto) Paredes, Dolores García, José J. (Otilia) García, Teresa G. (Hector Sr.) Silva, Marta G. (Juventino) Mercado, and Gracie G. (Guillermo) García and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members.
Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. and continue through 9:00 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 24, 2017, in the East Chapel at Darling-Mouser Funeral Home. The recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 7:00 p.m., Friday evening at Darling-Mouser. The Funeral Mass is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 25, 2017, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 1914 Barnard Rd. All services will conclude after the Mass and in accordance with Johnny's wishes cremation will follow.
