Juan B. Salazar

BROWNSVILLE, TX. - Juan B. Salazar entered into eternal rest on Thursday, the 26th of September 2024 at Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville. He was 64 years of age.

Juan was born on November 30, 1959 in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico, son of the late Juan Antonio Salazar and Teresa Pena de Salazar and resided in Brownsville, Texas. He was a sales associate at H-E-B for numerous years until his retirement. His favorite pastimes included family gatherings, jokes, and storytelling.

Preceding Juan in death were his parents, Juan Antonio Salazar and Teresa Pena de Salazar.

Survivors include his loving and devoted wife, Evelia Salazar; his children Arleen Salazar, Wosvaldo Salazar, and Aldo Garnica Salazar; his grandchild, Emri Garza; his siblings Julian Salazar, Apolonio Salazar, and Isabel Salazar; and his cousins, Victor Hugo and Herlinda Pena.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, the 30th of September 2024 between the hours of two o'clock in the afternoon and nine o'clock at night, with a recitation of the holy rosary to begin at seven o'clock Monday evening within the East Chapel of Darling-Mouser Funeral Home.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at ten o o’clock in the morning on Tuesday, the 1st of October 2024 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 555 W. St. Francis Street, Texas. Interment will then follow, via an escorted procession, at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4464 Old Port Isabel Road, Brownsville.
