Juan Vasquez, 40, beloved son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend entered into the glory of his eternal life on Sunday, June 19, 2016, at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville, Texas.
Juan was a native and lifetime resident of Brownsville. Juan was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all those fortunate to have known him.
Juan is preceded in death by his father, Ernesto Vasquez; his maternal grandparents, Maria and James D. Thomas; and his paternal grandparents, Leonor and Alfredo Vasquez.
Left behind to eternally treasure their memories of him is his loving mother, Amelia de la Garza; his daughter, Martika Jasmine Vasquez and her husband, Luis Martinez II; a brother, Martin Vasquez and his wife Lisa; two grandchildren: Luis Martinez III and Lacy Lilliana Martinez; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
In accordance with Juan's wishes he will be cremated. Juan's family will begin to greet friends on Saturday, June 26th at 12 Noon prior to a memorial service celebrating Juan's life which will start at 2:00 p.m. in the East Chapel at Darling-Mouser Funeral Home.
