Juanita M. Garcia, 57, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend entered into the glory of her eternal life on Friday, July 22, 2011 at St. Lukes Episcopal Hospital in Houston, Texas surrounded by her loving family.
Juanita was born on Feb. 20, 1954 in Matamoros, Tamps., Mexico and came to live in Brownsville in 1979 shortly after marrying. She became a naturalized American citizen in 1979.
Juanitas first job was at Levi Strauss where she worked for 15 years. Juanita was a natural born saleswoman. Her love of selling led her to work for Jewels by Parklane whom she represented for 20 years. Not only was she an exceptional saleswoman, she was an exceptional motivational speaker and inspired others to do their best and reach for the stars. Her exceptional sales abilities earned her top honors and awards from Parklane. She loved traveling and she and her husband were able to travel the world.
Juanita also loved spending time with family and friends especially her grandchildren. A devout Catholic, she was a faithful parishioner at Immaculate Conception Cathedral where she served as a Lector and a Eucharistic Minister. Juanita was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all those who were fortunate to have known her.
Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, Jose Luis and Eustacia Coello 3 brothers, Diego, Rosalio, and Antonio Coello and her father and motherinlaw, Tomas and Marina Garcia.
Left behind to eternally treasure her memory is the love of her life, her devoted husband of 37 years, Juan Javier Garcia her children, Claudia Martin Weitzer, Juan Javier Lisa Garcia Jr., and Emmanuel Manny Rocio Garcia the three grandchildren that were her pride and joy, Thomas Garcia, Gabriela Weitzer, and Aimee Garcia her siblings, Maria del Carmen Juan Badillo, Maria Luisa Hector Escareo, Isabel Coello, Guadalupe Coello, Jose Luis Elva Coello, and Filiberto Mayela Coello. She will also be missed by her brothers and sistersinlaw, Gerardo Dora Montelongo, Maria del Rosario Montelongo, Dolores Montelongo, and Francisco Montelongo, numerous nieces and nephews, and her Parklane Family.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 25th in the East Chapel at DarlingMouser Funeral Home with the recitation of the holy rosary scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. Monday evening. Visitation will resume at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 26th with the Funeral Mass scheduled for 3 p.m. on Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Cathedral. Interment will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
Filiberto Coello, Guadalupe Coello, Luis Coello, Luis Coello Jr., Juan Badillo, and Hector Escareo are honored to be serving as Juanitas pallbearers. Scott Levin, Americo Castillo, Abiel Silva, Axel Bolaos, Roberto Hernandez, Hugo Coello, Alexis Villanueva, Samuel Vallejo, and her Parklane family will serve as honorary pallbearers.
