Juanita Lopez Solis

Juanita Lopez Solis, age 84, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend entered into the glory of her eternal life on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at her residence in Brownsville surrounded by her loving family.

Juanita was born October of 1927 in Olivia, Texas to Esteban and Maria Lopez.

Juanita worked at J. C. Penney for over 20 years.

Juanita was a devout Roman Catholic and a faithful parishioner at Mary Mother of the Church Parish St. Marys for many years. Juanita was a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court Bishop Adolph Marx 1988 and served the court as a Regent. She was a founding member of St. Marys Altar and Rosary Society.
Juanita was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all those fortunate to have known her.

Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, and a son, Xavier Solis.

Left behind to eternally treasure their loving memories of her: is her devoted husband of 63 years, Deacon Heriberto Solis a daughter, Evangelina Tony Graham a son, Thomas J. Anny Solis the grandchildren that were the apple of her eye: Clarissa OBrian, Nicholas Solis, Kelly Matthews, Vanessa Matthews, and Natassha Brun Owens She will also be missed by her sisters Frances Reyna, Minga Tamayo, Tommie Gonzales, Lucy Lind and Julia Martinez numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family members, and a host of friends.

Visitation will be from 3:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. on Friday, March 30, 2012 with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 P.M. Friday evening in the East Chapel at Darling Mouser. The Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 31, 2012, at Mary Mother of the Church Parish St. Marys, 1914 Barnard Road.

Interment will follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens. Fernando San Miguel, Rene Gomez, Justin Gomez, Joe OBrian, Rick Gomez, and Stephen Vasquez are honored to be serving as Juanitas pallbearers.
