Juan Manuel Jasso, Jr.

SAN BENITO, TX. - Juan Manuel Jasso, Jr., loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, the 4th of September 2022 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, Texas. He was seventy-two years of age.

Juan was born in Brownsville, Texas on October 21, 1949, son of the late Juan Manuel Jasso, Sr. and Elida Lerma Jasso and the eldest of his six siblings. He was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps where he served with distinction for four years and earned several medals for his bravery in Vietnam. His family and friends can attest that the discipline and patriotism Juan learned in the Marine Corps never left him. He also had a passion for fishing on his boat, the “Sir John,” where he proudly wore the biggest smile ever after his biggest catch. His entire family has always been so proud of his accomplishments, and he will forever be remembered by all of those fortunate enough to have known him. “You are gone dad, but we will never forget you until we see you again.”

Survivors include his six children Antonio A. Jasso (Dora), Belinda Jasso Marquez (Juan), Juan Manuel Jasso III, Yvonne Jasso (Joe), Jake Jasso, and Jacob Jasso; sixteen grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren

A private cremation was held. Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, the 10th of September 2022 between the hours of ten o’clock in the morning and twelve noon within the East Chapel of Darling-Mouser Funeral Home.
