June Marie Bode Riley, 83, of Brownsville, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother entered into the glory of her eternal life on Wednesday, October 7, at Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville, Texas.
June, a native of Keokuk, Iowa, had been a resident of Brownsville for the past 20 years coming here after retiring from a career in nursing. She was a member of the Church of the Advent Episcopal where she served on the Altar Guild. She also enjoyed collecting Precious Moments figurines.
June was preceded in death by parents and numerous extended family members.
Left behind to eternally treasure her memory is her loving husband of 63 years, Harley Riley; two sons: Kevin and his wife Pat and Rick and his wife Bennie; two adopted sons, Liem and Long; 5 grandchildren: Kenneth, Brian, Dani, Logan, and Heather; numerous great-grandchildren; 1 brother-in-law, Harold Riley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In accordance with Junes wishes she was cremated. A Memorial service in celebration of her life will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at The Church of the Advent Episcopal, 104 W. Elizabeth Street in Brownsville, Texas, 78520.
