Laquetta Sue Hannah

Laquetta Sue Hannah, 69, beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and aunt entered into the glory of her eternal life on Saturday, October 30, 2010 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville surrounded by her loving family.

A longtime resident of Brownsville, Sue was a loyal and dedicated employee at Valley Federal Employees Credit Union for many years, as ManagerTreasurer. Sue loved people and did everything within her power to help her family and friends. She will be dearly missed by all those fortunate to have known her.

Sue was preceded in death by her husband, Tommie H. Hannah a daughter, Karel Ann Laurence and her parents: Prentice Gipson and Eva Mae Childress Gipson.

Left to eternally treasure her memory are her daughter, Joy Lorraine Waller and her husband, John Michael a grandson, Austin Landis Laurence two granddaughters: Erica Waller and Jennifer Stanfield two sisters: Gloria Joy Stevenson and her husband John Kent and Linda Mae Rountree a brother, Prentice Gipson and his wife Diann numerous nieces and nephews and her beloved dog and constant companion, Reba.

Sues family will begin to greet relatives and friends at 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 1st. Rev. Ed Robertson will officiate the Memorial Service in celebration of Sues life at 2 p.m. on Monday, November 1, 2010 in the East Chapel at DarlingMouser Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens. Family members and friends are honored to be serving as Sues pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in Sues name may be made to the Brownsville Animal Shelter, 416 FM 511, Olmito, Texas 78575. Please make checks payable to the City of Brownsville and reference Medicine.
