Leonor C. Balli, 86, beloved mother, mother-in-law, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother entered into the glory of her eternal life on Saturday, April 19, 2008 at Ebony Lake Nursing Home.
Leonor, a native of Villa Nueva, TX, had been a lifetime resident of Brownsville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nicolas Balli; her daughters: Alma Balli Torres and Minerva Balli Hall; her son, Conrado Balli; her granddaughter, Norma Balli Molina, and her brothers and sisters.
Left behind to eternally treasure her memory are her children: Johnny Balli, Pearl Ruben Balli Mancillas, Emma Juan Balli Trevio, all from Brownsville, and Nicolas Bea Balli Jr. from Laredo, TX; 19 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Alicia Augustin Santoscoy; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. on Monday, April 21, 2008 in the East Chapel of Darling-Mouser and continue through 9 p.m. with the recitation of the holy rosary at 7 p.m. Monday evening. The Mass of Christian Resurrection will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 555 W. St. Francis St. Interment will follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens. Leonorss grandsons: Justin Balli, Luis Antonio Balli, David Jerald Hobbs III, Rey Mancillas, Ruben Mancillas Jr., and Raul Torres Jr. are honored to be serving as pallbearers for their grandmother.
Christopher James Balli, Mark Anthony Balli, Ruben Mancillas, Richard Ortega and Juan Trevio will serve as honorary pallbearers.
