BROWNSVILLE, TX. — Lidia Acevedo de Hernández entró en el descanso eterno el lunes, 07 de noviembre de 2022 en la comodidad de su residencia en Brownsville rodeado de su amada familia. Tenía noventa y dos años de edad.
Sra. Hernández fue una amorosa esposa, madre, abuela, hermana y una gran mujer y empresaria junto a su esposo.
Sra. Hernández le precedieron en la muerte su esposo, Gilberto Hernández Reyes y sus padres, Ignacio Acevedo Díaz y Santos Gutiérrez López.
Le sobreviven sus hijos Martha Nelly, Edith, Gilberto Alejandro, Alfonso Javier y Julio César; y sus nietos Israel, Miriam, Cynthia, Carlos Gerardo, Marcela, Edith, Eugenia, Gilberto, Daniela, Balbina, Pricila, Angelita y Renata.
El horario de visita será el jueves 10 de noviembre de 2022, entre las cuatro de la tarde y las nueve de la noche, con el rezo del Santo Rosario a partir de las siete de la noche del jueves dentro de la Capilla Este de Darling-Mouser Funeral Home.
La Misa de funeral se celebrará a las cinco de la tarde del viernes 11 de noviembre de 2022 en la Iglesia Católica St. Mary, 1914 Barnard Road, Brownsville.

BROWNSVILLE, TX. - Lidia Acevedo de Hernández entered into eternal rest on Monday, the 7th of November 2022 in the comfort of her Brownsville residence surrounded by her loving family. She was ninety-two years of age.
Lidia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and a great woman and entrepreneur alongside her husband.
Lidia was preceded in death by her husband, Gilberto Hernández Reyes and by her parents, Ignacio Acevedo Díaz and Santos Gutiérrez López.
Survivors include her children Martha Nelly, Edith, Gilberto Alejandro, Alfonso Javier, and Julio César; and her grandchildren Israel, Miriam, Cynthia, Carlos Gerardo, Marcela, Edith, Eugenia, Gilberto, Daniela, Balbina, Pricila, Angelita, and Renata.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, the 10th of November 2022 between the hours of four o’clock in the afternoon and nine o’clock at night, with the recitation of the holy rosary to begin at seven o’clock Thursday evening within the East Chapel of Darling-Mouser Funeral Home.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at five o'clock in the afternoon on Friday, the 11th of November 2022 at St. Mary, Mother of the Catholic Church, 1914 Barnard Road, Brownsville. All local services will conclude following the mass.
