Lidia Jaso Rodriguez

Lidia Jaso Rodriguez, 96, our beloved mother and grandmother entered into the glory of her eternal life on Monday, June 24, 2013. Lidia passed away peacefully at Alta Vista Health Care Center in Brownsville, Texas.

Lidia was born in Brownsville, Texas in July of 1916, where she resided all of her life. She was a devout Catholic and was a faithful parishioner of Immaculate Conception Cathedral. Lidia was a kind and humble person who had great compassion for her fellow men and who always saw the positive and good in everybody and everything.

Lidia was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed not only by her family but by those who were fortunate to have known her.

Lidia was preceded in death by her parents, Rodolfo Jaso and Luisa Masa Jaso her husband, Alberto Rodriguez Sr. and her four older brothers, Rafael, Rodolfo Jr., Roberto R., and Manuel Jaso.

Lidia is survived by her only son whom she greatly love, Albert Beatrice Lucio Rodriguez Jr. by her two grandsons who were her pride and joy, Albert Lee Rodriguez III and Edward James Patricia Cisneros Rodriguez and by her three greatgrandchildren who brought sunshine and happiness into her life, Ambryelle Eva, Vincent Edward, and Dominic James Rodriguez. They will forever treasure their memories of her.

Visitation will be held today, Tuesday, June 25, 2013, from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. in the East Chapel at DarlingMouser Funeral Home with the recitation of the holy rosary scheduled for 7:00 p.m. this evening at DarlingMouser. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, June 26, 2013, from 12 Noon to 2:30 p.m. at DarlingMouser. The Funeral Mass is tentatively scheduled for 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26th at St. Marys Catholic Church, 1914 Barnard Road. Committal services will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.

The Rodriguez family wishes to sincerely thank all of the staff at Alta Vista Health Care Center and members of Odyssey Hospice Healthcare who graciously tended to Lidia J. Rodriguez.
