Lilia C. de La Rosa, 85, beloved mother, grandmother, great-mother, great-great-grandmother and sister entered into the glory of her eternal life on Monday, March 10, 2008 at Valley Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on June 23, 1922 in La Laja, Nuevo Leon, Mexico.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Santos De La Rosa, Sr.; her son, Jesus Montes; her brother, Noe Chavero, and two sisters, Maria C. Montes and Elvira C. Garza.
Left behind to eternally treasure her memory is her daughter, Olga Roberto Sal
ar; her three sons, Santos Jr. Rosario De La Rosa, Juan Norma De La Rosa, and Andres Alicia Montes; 11 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Chanita Salinas and two brothers, Felipe Chavero and Arturo Chavero. Lilia will also be missed by her many friends and extended family members.
Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. and continue through 9 p.m., Wednesday, March 12, 2008 in the West Chapel of Darling-Mouser Funeral Home with the recitation of the holy rosary at 7 p.m. this evening. The Mass of Christian Resurrection will be celebrated by Father Francisco Acosta at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 13, 2008 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1200 Lincoln St. Interment will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
