Liza Celina Saenz

Our beloved daughter, sister, and friend, Liza Celina Saenz, 38, of Austin, passed away on Friday, December 26, 2008 at Seton Medical Center in Austin, Texas.

She was born on July 6, 1970 in Brownsville, Texas. After residing in Brownsville for over 26 years, she moved to Austin, Texas where she was employed with ATT for over 11 years.

She was preceded in death by her father, Fidel Saenz Jr. of Brownsville; her paternal grandparents, Fidel and Rebecca Saenz of Benavides; and her maternal grandparents, Jesus and Idolina Escobedo of Brownsville.

Liza is survived by her mother Marta Escobedo Saenz of Brownsville; her brother Fidel Saenz III of Corpus Christi; her sister, Laura Saenz LaCoste; her brother-in-law, Bill LaCoste of Austin; her loving dog, Hugo, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The family wishes to extend special thanks to the staff at DaVita Dialysis Center, the attending physicians, the ICU and IMC staff at Seton Medical Center on 38th Street for all their loving care. Special thanks to all her family, friends, and co-workers for their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Liza was a very loving and caring daughter, sister, and friend. She always managed to gather the strength and courage to get through life despite her pervasive medical difficulties.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, December 29, 2008 at Darling-Mouser Funeral Home, 945 Palm Blvd., Brownsville, Texas 956 546-7111.
