Louis Paul Fromenthal Sr.

Louis P. Fromenthal, Sr., 85, of Brownsville, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother entered into the glory of his eternal life on Monday, August 10, 2009 at Valley Baptist Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.

A native of Louisiana, Mr. Fromenthal had been a Brownsville resident for almost 60 years coming here to work as a shrimp boat captain. He was a proud Army veteran having served his country during World War II. Louis was a man who loved life and lived it to the fullest. He enjoyed dancing and was a marvelous dancer, but what brought him the most joy was spending time with his family playing all kinds of card games.

Left behind to eternally treasure his memory is his loving wife of 67 years, Myrtle J. Dutsy Fromenthal; his son, Louis P. Fromenthal Jr. and his wife Jerri, and his daughter, Lynn Kay and her husband Joe Hermosa. He will also be dearly missed by his 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and his siblings, Billy, Wayne, Juanita, and Tommy.

In accordance with his wishes, Mr. Fromenthal was cremated. There will be a Memorial Mass at a later date.
