BROWNSVILLE, TX. – Louis E. Sanchez entered into eternal rest, peacefully, on Friday, the 1st of November 2024, at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville surrounded by his immediate family members. Louis was born in Brownsville, Texas on November 5, 1965. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Maria Alicia Tijerina Sanchez and the former, Honorable State Representative Henry Sanchez, Jr.; and by his brother, Enrique “Henry” Sanchez III. He is survived by his daughters, Natasha and Nicole; stepdaughter, Amber; and his siblings David J. Sanchez, Sr. (Catherine) and Sonya A. Sanchez Pena (Joel). He is also survived by his several nieces and nephews, a large extended family, and countless friends.
Louis graduated from Pace High School. He continued his education at The University of Texas at San Antonio where he focused on History studies and obtained his paralegal certificate. His pride and joy and the most important thing in his life were his daughters. He beamed with pride whenever he spoke about them.
Young at heart, Louis enjoyed concerts, music, any Marvel, DC, or Sci-Fi movies, and amusement parks. His next trip was going to be with Natasha to Disneyland and Knotts Berry Farm. An avid and major sports fanatic, Louis could give you statistics about players from almost every NFL and NBA team and every year, he had an opinion on who they should draft. But no team was more important to him than his San Antonio Spurs, which he held season tickets for many years.
Listening to Classic Rock music was another of his go to things. He knew what songs belonged to what album and what the cover looked like. He was happy to share his appreciation of music with not only his girls, but also with his various nieces and nephews whom he loved and who was loved deeply by them.
Louis had an adventurous mind and always thought outside of the box and was able to add a different perspective on various situations. The time he spent with family and friends was essential, and he was blessed to have so many.
