Lucia Guajardo-Fraga

Miss Lucia Lucy Guajardo-Fraga, 93, beloved godmother, aunt, and cousin entered into the glory of her eternal life on Friday, January 9, 2009 in Houston, Texas.

A native of Matamoros, Tamps., Mexico, Miss Guajardo was a resident of Brownsville for over 80 years before moving to Houston, Texas, 5 years ago where she lived with her goddaughter. She was a faithful and dedicated employee of over 40 years at Anthonys Department Store in downtown Brownsville.

Left behind to eternally treasure her memory is her goddaughter, Maria de los Angeles Quintana, of Houston; two cousins, Luis Fraga, of Brownsville, and Anastacio Fraga, of Matamoros, Tamps., Mexico; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. on Monday 12, 2009 and continue through 9 p.m. with the recitation of the holy rosary at 7:00 p.m. this evening in the East Chapel of Darling-Mouser Funeral Home. The Mass of Christian Resurrection will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at the Saint Thomas Catholic Mission, 155 E. Jefferson St. Interment will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
