Lucky Leal, 62, our beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, sisterinlaw, aunt, and friend entered into the glory of her eternal life on Friday, July 27, 2012 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Lucky who was born in Rio Grande City, had been a resident of Brownsville for many years. Lucky was a loyal and faithful employee with the City of Brownsville for 33 years. At the time of her retirement, Lucky was the Court Administrator for the Citys Municipal Court.
Lucky was a longtime parishioner at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church. Lucky was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all those fortunate to have known her.
Lucky was preceded in death by her parents, Jesus H. and Alda G. Perez a son, Jesus Eleno Salinas her sister, Linda P. Bueno, and two brothers, Roy G. Perez and Rene Perez.
Left behind to eternally treasure their memories of her is her loving husband of 38 years, Manuel G. Leal her daughter, Odee Ann Leal the granddaughter who was the apple of her eye, Pamela Marie Rodriguez all from Brownsville her sisters: Mary P. Richard Willis, Alda David Hornsby, both from Premont, TX, and Rhonda Gilbert Arevalo from Falfurrias, TX her brothers: Jesus Elvira Perez of Midlothian, TX, Maximo Marybelle Perez of Ramirez, TX, Ramiro Linda Perez, Reynaldo Perez, and Ruben Irma Perez all from Concepcion, TX two brothersinlaw, Fermin Rosie Chita Leal and Ramon G. Alda Leal two sistersinlaw, Arminda L. Merced Burnias and Consuelo L. Luis Lucio and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 30, 2012 with the recitation of the holy rosary service scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. Monday evening in the East Chapel at DarlingMouser Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 31st San Pedro Catholic Church, 7602 Old Military Rd. in San Pedro, TX. Committal services will follow at the Ysidro Leal Memorial Cemetery in San Pedro, Texas.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Adames and his Staff and Odyssey Hospice for the kind and compassionate care given to their beloved Lucky. May God continue to bless you as you minister to others.
