Lucy Fehr, 66, entered peacefully into eternal rest on Thursday, May 3, 2012 in Kingwood, Texas
Lucy was born in May of 1945 in Mexico City. She moved to Brownsville as a young girl and graduated from Villa Maria High School. Lucy then moved to New York City and worked for TWA where she met her husband Stanley Fehr Jr. They married and it was there that she gave birth to her son Stanley Fehr III.
They returned to Brownsville in 1972, where she lived for the next 40 years. She worked for the Brownsville ISD for 31 years as a paraprofessional most of which were at Egly Elementary in the dyslexia unit. She was recognized in 2010 as the BISD paraprofessional of the year and retired in 2011.
Lucy was preceded in death by her husband Stanley Fehr Jr. a son, Dwight Fehr her brother, Tanis Vega and a sister, Maggie.
Lucy is survived by her son, Stan Fehr and his wife Lindy and their seven children: Kaylyn, Jarrett, Colton, Tate, Joshua, Savannah, and Meadow. She is also survived by her brother, Pepe and four sisters: Maru, Tere, Lupita, and Ale.
Visitation was held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a recitation of the holy rosary at 7 p.m. on Sunday, May 6, 2012, in the West Chapel at DarlingMouser Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass was held at 10 a.m., on Monday, May 7, 2012, at St. Marys Catholic Church, 1914 Barnard Road, Brownsville, Texas. Committal services followed at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
