Manuela Granado Delgado, 88, our beloved mother, motherinlaw, sister, sisterinlaw, grandmother, greatgrandmother, greatgreatgrandmother, aunt, and friend entered into the glory of her eternal life on Monday, October 31, 2011at Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Delgado was a native and lifetime resident of Brownsville. A devout Catholic, she was a faithful and devoted parishioner at Christ the King Catholic Church. Manuela attended Cario Adult Day Care. She loved listening to music and dancing. She was an exceptional woman who devoted her life to her family. Manuela was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all those whose lives she touched.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Encarnacion G. Delgado Sr., a daughter, Margarita Delgado her parents, Juan and Librada Granado four brothers: Jesus, Guadalupe, Jose, and Ernesto Granado and two sisters, Maria G. Cortinas and Juanita G. Gonzalez.

Left behind to eternally treasure their memories of her are her five sons: Juan G. Delgado Sr., Encarnacion Sylvia G. Delgado Jr., Jose Angel G. Delgado Sr., Enrique G. Delgado, and Alejandro Yolanda G. Delgado Sr. 14 grandchildren: Juan G. Delgado, Jr. Manuel Delgado, Margarita Delgado, Adrian Delgado, Jose Angel Delgado Jr., Hector Delgado, Ana Alicia Robledo, Christopher Delgado, Enrique Delgado Jr., Daisy Delgado, Devin Delgado, Alejandro Delgado Jr., Eric Thomas Delgado, and Elvis Joe Delgado 13 greatgrandchildren and 1 greatgreatgranddaughter. Manuela will also be missed by her two sisters: Frances Roland Larson and Ramona Armando Rosenbaum two brothers: Natividad Granado and Juan Esmeralda Granado Jr. and numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.

Visitation was held Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at DarlingMouser Funeral Home in the East Chapel. Visitation will resume at 10 a.m.Thursday, November 3, 2011 with the recitation of the holy rosary scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. Thursday evening. The funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 4, 2011 at Christ the King Catholic Church, 2255 Southmost Road. Entombment in the Mausoleum at Buena Vista Burial Park will follow.

Manuelas grandsons: Adrian Delgado, Jose Angel Delgado Jr., Hector Delgado, Eric Thomas Delgado, Alejandro Delgado, Jr., and Enrique Delgado Jr. are honored to be serving as her pallbearers.

Manuelas family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to her providers, Carmelita Serna and Teresa Briones for the tender and compassionate care that you provided to their beloved mother.
