Marcos Hernandez, 53, our beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, and friend entered into the glory of his eternal life on Thursday, April 01, 2010 at Valley Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.
Marcos who was born in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico came to Brownsville when he was a teenager. He was a soccer fanatic who cheered for his favorite team the Cruz Azul. He would always say that they were his favorite team because the cross represented Jesus death on the cross and the blue represented heaven and eternal life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Monico and Juanita Hernandez, and his fatherinlaw, Emilio Delmas.
Left behind to eternally treasure their memories of him is his loving wife of 32 years: Amelia Hernandez his 2 daughters: Amelia Melly Julio Cesar Cubias and Janet Juan Julian Puga Hernandez the 2 grandchildren that were his pride and joy: Kristine Garcia and Juan Julian Puga Jr. his brothers and sisters: Manuel Amelia Hernandez, Hipolito Graciela Hernandez, Juan Antonio Hernandez, Matilde Miguel Cigala, Gustavo Elizabeth Hernandez, Jose Guadalupe Yesenia Hernandez, Armando Maricela Hernandez, and Miguel Angel Elida Hernandez his motherinlaw, Carolina Fuentes and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and other extended family members.
Visitation and a prayer service will be held Friday, April 2, 2010, at DarlingMouser Funeral Home. Visitation will resume at 9 a.m., Saturday, April 3, 2010 with the funeral service beginning at 2 p.m. in the East Chapel at DarlingMoser Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park. Marcos family members are honored to be serving as his pallbearers.
