Margarita Attaway

Margarita Attaway, 76, passed away Monday, February 20, 2012, to be with our Lord. She was born October 30, 1935, in Brownsville, Texas to Tiburcio and Jacinta Navarro Perez.

Known to her friends as Maggie, she was a lifetime resident of Brownsville,TX. She worked for many years at Model Laundry and was later employed with Brownsville ISD until her retirement. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, fishing and was a great cook. Young and old alike gravitated to her and her husband as wonderful mentors. Her cheerful and caring disposition will always be remembered.

Maggie was preceded in death by her father Tiburcio Perez.
Maggie is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Kenneth Attaway her sons Edelmiro Guzman Jr.Anna of San Juan, Texas and Fred Guzman Sharron of Mission,Texas her mother Jacinta Navarro of Brownsville her grandchildren Edelmiro Guzman III of McAllen, Tx, Patricia Henderson of Texarkana, Tx, Cindy Gonzalez of Edinburg, Tx, Norma Linda Guzman of Edinburg, Tx, Jacob Guzman of San Juan, Tx, Charles F. Guzman of Edinburg, Tx, and Kenneth J. Guzman of Mission, Tx. 14 great grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation will be from 1pm to 9pm Wednesday 22, 2012 at DarlingMouser Funeral Home West Chapel with a Rosary Service at 7pm.

Funeral Services will be held 10am Thursday February 23, 2012 at DarlingMouser Funeral Home West Chapel.
Interment will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
Her pallbearers will be grandchildren Charles Guzman, Kenneth Guzman, Milo Guzman, Jacob Guzman. Also, Gabriel Sanchez and Robert V. Vasquez.
Honorary Pallbearers are Ceasar Guzman and Adrian Gonzalez.
