Margarito Saldana Ramirez

Margarito Saldaa Ramirez, 58, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, brotherinlaw, and uncle entered into the glory of his eternal life on March 22, 2011 at his residence surrounded by his loving family after a long and courageous battle against cancer. He was born on September 28, 1952 in General Escobedo, Nuevo Leon, Mexico and had lived all his life in Brownsville.

He worked all his life at the Port of Brownsville, most recently at ST Marine, as a welder and supervisor until his illness forced him to quit in December of 2009. Margarito will be greatly missed by his family and friends and all those fortunate to have known him.

Margarito was preceded in death by his mother, Jesusa Saldaa his father, Matias Ramirez his brothers: Sergio, Ruben, and Ventura Ramirez a sister, Sylvia Gonzalez and his fatherinlaw, Simon T. Ramos.

Left to eternally treasure his memory are his loving wife of 37 years, Maria Ramirez his son, Margarito Ramirez Jr., his daughter, Elisa Casanova and her husband Rudolfo and the grandchildren who were his pride and joy,
Sergio E. and Danielle Casanova. He will also be greatly missed his motherinlaw, Maria Elisa Ramos his brothersinlaw, Simon Ramos Jr., Guile Juanita Ramos, Mario Ester Ramos, Poncho Bertha Ramos, Joe Pat Ramos, and Raul Felipa Ramos his sistersinlaw, Linda Raul Vera and Marvie Ramos his brother, Raul Ramos, and his sisters, Maria Alberto Duque, Martha de los Reyes and Gloria Luis Reyes and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. and continue through 9 p.m. Thursday, March 24th with the recitation of the holy rosary at 7 p.m. in the East Chapel at DarlingMouser Funeral Home. Visitation will resume at 8 a.m. on Friday, March 25, 2011. The Liturgical Service of Christian Resurrection will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 25, 2011 at St. Marys Catholic Church, 1914 Barnard Road.

Interment will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park. Rudy Casanova, Jesus Sergio Ramirez, Edgar Duque, Robert Vera, Manuel Ruben Gonzalez, and Rick Ramos are honored to be serving as Margaritos pallbearers.
