Maria "Yoli" Yolanda Caballero

Maria Yolanda Casas de Caballero, 57, our beloved mother, motherinlaw, grandmother, sister, sisterinlaw, aunt, and friend entered into the glory of her eternal life at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville surrounded by her loving family.

A native and lifetime resident of Brownsville, Yoli was born here on June 14, 1954 to Federico and Ignacia Casas the youngest of their five children. Yoli loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who gave her all for her family. Yoli was an exceptional woman who devoted her life to her family. She was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all those whose lives she touched.

Yoli was preceded in death by her parents: Federico and Ignacia Casas her father and motherinlaw: Artemio Caballero Montalvo and Eva Saldivar de Caballero a brotherinlaw, Jose Manuel Caballero, and a sisterinlaw, Yolanda Casas.

Left behind to eternally treasure their memories of her are her husband of 37 years: Lauro Caballero her children: Yolanda Yasmin Caballero Jose Alejandro de Bruyneel, Laura Lizette Caballero, and Artemio Arnoldo Caballero the grandchildren that were the apple of her eye: Ashley Ann, Star Marie, and Jose Alejandro Bruyneel Jr., Jessica Nicole Caballero, and Gisselle Corrales. She will also be missed by her sister: Isabel Chavela
Adalberto Cardenas her three brothers: Federico Rosa Casas Jr., Hector Casas, and Jesus Carmen Casas her brothers and sistersinlaw: Maria de los Angeles Caballero, Artemio Rosa Maria Caballero, Nereida C. Luis Flores, Eva Elizabeth C. Elioth Acevedo Jr., and Mary C. Caballero and numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.

Visitation and a rosary service were held yesterday at DarlingMouser Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at St. Lukes Catholic Church, 2800 Rockwell Drive . In accordance with Yolis wishes she will be cremated and all services will conclude after the Mass.
