Maria Alicia Coindreau, 70, beloved mother, motherinlaw, grandmother, aunt, and friend entered into the glory of her eternal life on Friday, February 11, 2011 at Las Colinas Medical Center in Irving, Texas.
Maria Alicia, a member of one of Brownsvilles pioneer families, was born on June 25, 1940 in H. Matamoros, Tamps., Mexico to Narciso Castilo and Antonia Gavito. She attended Incarnate Word Academy and graduated from Villa Maria High School. In 1958, she married the love of her life, Oscar M. Coindreau who preceded her in death. After their marriage, the Coindreaus moved to the Dallas area where she had resided until her death.
Maria Alicia will be dearly missed by all those fortunate to have known her.
Maria Alicia was preceded in death by her parents, Narciso and Antonia Castillo her beloved husband, Oscar M. Coindreau her brother and sisterinlaw, Roberto and Cristina Castillo and a son, Oscar Coindreau.
Left to eternally treasure her memory are her 2 daughters: Maria Alicia Coindreau and Carmen and her husband Rick White the two grandchildren that were the apple of her eye, Brodie and Erica White 1 sister, Lucilla Castillo, 12 nieces and nephews, and numerous extended family members.
Visitation and a rosary service were held Sunday, February 13, 2011 at DarlingMouser Funeral Home. Visitation will resume at 12 noon ,Monday, February 14, 2011 in the East Chapel at DarlingMouser Funeral Home. The Mass of Christian Resurrection will be at 3 p.m., Monday, February 14, 2011 at Immaculate Conception Cathedral.
Interment will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park. Cipriano Cardenas, Jose Castaeda, Roberto Castillo, Marco Cuellar, George Gavito, and Joe Gavito are honored to be serving as Maria Alicias pallbearers. Mr. Alfredo Gavito will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
