Maria De La Luz V. Delgado

Maria De La Luz Delgado, 64, of San Pedro, entered into eternal rest at Valley Baptist Medical Center-Brownsville on Friday, February 26, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She worked for Tropical Texas Center MHMR for 33 years.

Left to eternally treasure their memories of her are her children- Herica Rios, Daniel Delgado, Jr., Cristela Gomez, Cynthia Delgado and Rosanna Sauceda; 12 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild; her siblings- Elida V. Ortiz, Alejandro Vasquez, Manuel Vasquez and Irene V. Alvarez as well as several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, February 29, 2016 in the East Chapel at Darling-Mouser Funeral Home. Visitation will resume at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 1, 2016 until 8:00 p.m. with the recitation of the holy rosary at 7:00 p.m. in the East Chapel at Darling-Mouser Funeral Home.

Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2016 in the San Pedro Catholic Church with burial to follow at the San Pedro Cemetery.

Mrs. Delgado's family would like to extend their appreciation to Dr. Nisar Hussain, Dr. Karkoutly, the doctors at New Horizon Medical Center and the nursing staff at Valley Baptist Medical Center of Brownsville for the care and compassion they provided to their loved one.
