Maria "Chucha" De Jesus Casta�Eda De Gonz�Lez

Maria De Jesus Castaneda de Gonzalez, 86, our beloved mother, grandmother, greatgrandmother, sister, and aunt of Brownsville, entered into the glory of her eternal life on Tuesday, October 7, 2014, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Mercedes, Texas to the late Victor Castaeda and Antonia Lopez de Castaeda.

Mrs. Gonzalez was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Gilberto Gonzlez Benitez, two sons, a daughter and three brothers, Jose, Reymundo, and Felix Castaeda.

The family she leaves to cherish her memory are her children: Rosalinda G. Gomez, Nora C. Gonzlez, Maria Esmeralda Gonzlez, Blanca F. Karr, Juan G. Yolanda Gonzlez, Sulamith Sulema Rincones Porfirio, Maria Ainee Gonzlez Fernando, Jose Martin Gonzlez and Ofelia GonzlezMcKenzie James. She is also survived by twentytwo grandchildren: Gustavo Jr. and Jose A. Gomez, Jathzed Jennifer, Jemalyth Edwin, Jelizua Orlando and Jethnam Fabara, Joseph Taissa, Anthony, Ainee, and Adrian Gonzlez, Adam and Andrew Karr, Gilberto Crystal, San Juana Jose, and Mayra Fernando Gonzlez, Dainelle, Jennelle and Marco Rincones, Gilberto, Danielle Jonathan, Joelle, and Marielle McKenzie, and sixteen greatgrandchildren two brothers, Wenceslao Castaeda Maria and Armando Castaeda Ofelia as well as a sister, Aurora C. Garcia and three sistersinlaw, Olivia G. Castaeda, Francisca G. Martinez and Elva Gonzalez.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 11, 2014, in the East Chapel at DarlingMouser Funeral Home. Visitation will resume at 10:00 a.m.and continue until 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 12, 2014, with the recitation of the holy rosary at 7:00 p.m. Sunday evening. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, October 13, 2014, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 555 W. St. Francis St. with interment to follow at San Pedro Cemetery in San Pedro, Texas. Mrs. Gonzalez two sons and her grandsons are honored to be serving as her pallbearers.
