Maria "Mary" Luisa Jimenez

Maria Luisa Mary Jimenez, 84, our beloved mother, motherinlaw, sister, grandmother, greatgrandmother, aunt, and friend entered into the glory of her eternal life on Tuesday, September 13, 2011at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Jimenez, a native and lifetime resident of Brownsville, was born on July 4, 1927. She was one of twelve children born to Manuel and Rita Robles. A devout Catholic, she was a faithful and devoted parishioner at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and also at St. Marys. Mrs. Jimenez was an exceptional woman who devoted her life to her family. She was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all those whose lives she touched.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raul Garcia Jimenez her parents, Manuel V. and Rita A. Robles her inlaws, Ramon and Victoria Jimenez and three brothers, Manuel A., Ernesto A., and Raul A. Robles.

Left behind to eternally treasure their memories of her are her children: Maria Adele Charles Matta Beltran, Rodolfo Rudy R. Maria Eugenia Jimenez, Raymond Rosie Jimenez, and Leticia Rogelio Cavazos sixteen grandchildren: Rose Mary Garcia, Rodolfo Jr., Rolando Jr., Roger, Priscilla, Evelyn, Miranda, Veronica, Raul, and Juan Jimenez, Chris, Jessica, Roger Lee, Johnathan, Marie, and Jesse Cavazos eight greatgrandchildren: Gracie Garcia, Reed and Ryan Jimenez, Valencia, Audrey, and Maricela Cavazos, Chloe Ahumada, and Karina Medina five brothers, Antonio, Mauricio, Rodolfo, Roberto, and Alfredo Robles three sisters, Gloria Gomez, Nieves Fernandez, and Alma Robles numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.

Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. on Thursday, September 15, 2011 and continue through 9 p.m. in the East Chapel at DarlingMouser Funeral Home. The recitation of the holy rosary will be at 7 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, September 16, 2011 at St. Marys Catholic Church, 1914 Barnard Road, Brownsville, TX. Committal services will follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Maria Luisas son, Raymond Jimenez and her grandsons: Rudy Jimenez Jr., Rolando Jimenez Jr., Christopher and Roger Lee Cavazos, and Raul Alfredo Jimenez are honored to be serving as her pallbearers.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Rodolfo R. Jimenez, her five brothers, and the rest of her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.

The Jimenez family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to Dr. Michael Smith M.D. her nurse, Juan Ruiz her provider, Yolanda and Odyssey Hospice for all the tender care and compassion that they showed to their beloved mother and to the family. May God continue to bless you as you minister to others.
