On Tuesday June 23, 2015 at 3 AM, Argentina De Leon passed away. She is survived by her five children, Claudia, Luis, Alfonso, Enrique and Fernando, and her grandchildren Ana Paola, Luis Fernando, Eduardo Alfonso, Carlo Alfonso, Victoria and Fernando Sinforiano. In the company of her loving husband Sinforiano, and with her indomitable spirit, she spent every waking hour focused on her children's upbringing. Sheltered by the strength of her mother Amparo and in the boundless love and camaraderie of her six sisters, she persevered and she embraced every breath in the intensity of a life lived to the fullest.
She understood the human condition from a place of empathy and with a nuanced intuition that few could grasp. She was both intellectually gifted and gracefully pragmatic from a life lived through constant intensity in pursuit of a nurturing legacy for her children. Argentina counseled her children on matters ranging from business investments, as well as leadership and taught her sons how to be husbands and fathers. She taught us how to be discrete, dignified and honorable. And her children have spent their lives trying to repay her for the sacrifices she made and for the molding effect of this extraordinary woman. May our mother rest in peace.
