Maria Guadalupe Lozano, 79, our beloved mother, motherinlaw, grandmother, greatgrandmother, and friend entered into the glory of her eternal life on Sunday, January 8, 2012 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville surrounded by her loving family.
Maria Guadalupe affectionately known to everyone as Chayo, was born on October 1, 1932 in Mexico City, D.F., Mexico. After coming to the United States, she and her husband were migrant workers traveling to Florida every year to work. She was a longtime parishioner at Immaculate Conception Cathedral. Chayo was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all those fortunate to have known her.
Chayo was preceded in death by her parents her husband, Santiago Lozano and a brother, Ventura Dominguez Rocha.
Left behind to eternally treasure their memories of her is her son, Cesar G. Claudia Lozano a granddaughter, Aida Elma Javier Aguilar a grandson, Victor Michael Lozano and two greatgranddaughters: Ashley Katiana and Audrey Elizabeth Aguilar.
Mrs. Lozano was cremated in accordance with her wishes. There will be a Memorial Mass celebrating her life at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 14th at Immaculate Conception Cathedral. Chayos favorite color was pink and in keeping with that we ask that everyone wear a light shade of pink in honor of her life.
