Maria D. Mancillas, 79, of Brownsville, our beloved mother, motherinlaw, and grandmother, entered into the glory of her eternal life on Friday, May 6, 2011 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Tampico, Tamaulipas, Mexico and had been a resident of Brownsville for numerous years. She was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church.
Maria was preceded in death by her husband, Carlos Mancillas her son, Eduardo Mancillas and two sisters.
Left behind to eternally treasure their memories of her is her son, Carlos Noemi Mancillas, of Brownsville a daughter, Rose Elena Gabriel Rodriguez, of Angleton, TX her daughterinlaw, Biolanda Mancillas, of San Pedro, TX. She will also be dearly missed by her 10 grandchildren: Jaime Debra Mancillas, Gabriel Bobby, Daniella, Michael, Claudia, Eduardo, Jennifer, Karla, Eric, Kristen and 12 greatgrandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 2 p.m., today, Sunday, May 08, 2011 with the recitation of the holy rosary at 7:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, May 09, 2011 at St. Thomas Catholic Church 155 E. Jefferson St. Interment will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
Marias son, soninlaw, grandsons, and nephew: Jaime Mancillas, Gabriel Bobby Rodriguez, Michael Rodriguez, Eduardo Mancillas, Eric Mancillas, Carlos Mancillas, Gabriel Rodriguez Jr., and Eliseo Mancillas are honored to be serving as pallbearers for their beloved mother, motherinlaw, grandmother, and aunt.
