Maria "Mine" Minerva Martinez

Miss Maria Minerva Martinez, 83, of Brownsville, entered into eternal rest at Ebony Lake Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center on Thursday, October 22, 2015 surrounded by her loving family.

Mine, as she was affectionately known, was a loving sister, aunt and friend. She was well known for her friendliness, charisma and loving nature. You could always count on receiving a loving smile and welcome from her.

She will be missed not only by her family members but by all who were fortunate to have known her.

Mine is survived by her sister Maria Augustina Guerra; a brother, Manuel Sandoval and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation is from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, October 23, 2015 in the West Chapel of Darling-Mouser Funeral Home with the recitation of the holy rosary at 7:00 p.m.

A Liturgical Funeral Service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 24, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 555 W. St. Francis St.. Committal service will follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
