BROWNSVILLE, TX. – Maria del Carmen Molina of Brownsville, Texas, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, the 21st of February 2024. She was ninety-one years of age.
Maria del Carmen, born on July 18, 1932, was originally from San Benito, Texas, lived in Tucson, Arizona before returning to what became her home in Brownsville, Texas. She was the daughter of the late Jose Molina and Francisca C. Molina, and the third of six siblings. She loved sewing, tending to her garden and she loved sharing time with her pets, Clyde and Paquita. Maria worked up to the age of eighty-eight and she would proudly mention how it kept her going. For fun, Maria would plan regular trips to either Las Vegas, Nevada or Coushatta, Louisiana to try her luck at the slot machines. We will remember her fondly for her energy, independence and love for nature and animals.
Maria del Carmen was preceded in in death by her parents, Jose and Panchita Molina, and her siblings, Jose Guadalupe Molina, Jose Molina, Jr., Aladin “Lino” Molina, and Ninfa de la Paz.
She is survived by her sister, Frances Molina Wagner, in addition to numerous extended family members.
