Mrs. Maria G. Pardo, 90, of Brownsville, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
She was a loving mother and she loved fishing, dancing and tending to her garden. She loved to make tamales during the Christmas holidays for all her family, neighbors and friends. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
Mrs. Pardo was preceded in death by her husband, Felix Pardo by her mother Adelina Gonzalez and all her siblings, two of them were her brothers, Antonio Uribe and Jose Uribe, whom she raised as her own.
She is survived by her children: Leonides Sofia Pardo and Federico Ofelia Pardo, both of New Mexico, George Gloria Pardo, Guadalupe Isaias Infante, Adelina Abel Gomez, Palmira GustavoSalazar, Ninfa Barrios, Amelia Rangel all of Brownsville and Benilde Bennie David Solis of Los Fresnos. She is also survived by 34 grandchildren, including grandson Leonides Pardo, Jr. whom she raised as her own, 83 greatgrandchildren and 14 greatgreatgrandchildren.
Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Friday, March 19, 2010 with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. in the West Chapel of DarlingMouser Funeral Home.
Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 20, 2010 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with interment to follow at Las Flores Cemetery at the intersection of US Highway 281 and S. Sam Houston
Honored to be serving as Mrs. Pardos pallbearers are Diego Infante, Alfredo Gomez, Leonides Pardo, Jr., Gustavo Salazar, Jr., Dan Barrios, George Pardo, Jr., Juan Carlos Lerma and David Solis.
