Maria Trinidad Rangel

BROWNSVILLE, TX. - Maria Trinidad Rangel entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, the 9th of October 2024 in the comfort of her Brownsville residence surrounded by her loving family. She was 96 years of age.

Trinidad was born in Mexico on April 24, 1928, daughter of the late Jesus Ibañez and Isidra Mondragon Ibañez. She was a devout member of El Calvario and Trinity Lutheran Church. Trinidad enjoyed working in her yard, tending to her plants and was awarded Best Yard 1978. She will always be remembered as the best mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Preceding Trinidad in death are her children Guadalupe Rangel, Graciela Rangel, Juanita Rangel, Graciela "Chelita" Rangel, and Baby Girl Rangel; her parents, Jesus Ibañez and Isidra Mondragon Ibañez; and her siblings Felix Ibañez, Salud Ibañez, Guadalupe Ibañez, Josefa Simon, and Beatriz Ayala (Jose +).

Survivors include her children Amelia M. Casas (Fidel Jr.), Alicia Vasquez, David Rangel (Cristela), Raquel Garcia (Alfredo), Angelina Espinoza (David), Berta Perez (Antonio Jr.), Gloria Garcia (Rosendo +), Teresa Peña (Martin), and Yolanda Rangel; her twenty grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, the 15th of October 2024 between the hours of twelve noon and nine o'clock at night, with a prayer service to begin at seven o'clock Tuesday evening within the East Chapel of Darling-Mouser Funeral Home. 

A Funeral Service will be held at ten o'clock in the morning on Wednesday, the 16th of October 2024 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 901 Boca Chica Boulevard, Brownsville. Interment will then follow, via an escorted procession, at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4464 Old Port Isabel Road, Brownsville.
