Maria Concepcin Connie Sanchez, 58, of Brownsville, our beloved daughter, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, niece, cousin, teacher, and friend entered into eternal rest on Monday, March 16, 2009 in Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico.
Connie was a native and lifetime resident of Brownsville. She had been a dedicated educator with the B.I.S.D. for over 30 years. She dedicated her professional life to helping children with special needs first as a teacher, then a special education teacher, a special education supervisor with Fort Worth I.S.D, and finally as an Educational Diagnostician. Connie worked at several schools within the BISD and was most recently assigned to Stell Middle School.
Connie brightened up every room she entered with her trade mark Hola Hola greeting. Her passions in life were helping anyone in need, shopping with her sisters, and traveling. She was an animal lover who often covered vet bills for stray animals who were hurt or needed medical care. Her generosity knew no bounds. There were no limits to her kindness and love. She loved spending time with family and friends. Due to Connies upbringing as a Catholic she had a lot of faith in Our Mother, the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Left behind to eternally treasure her memories are her loving parents: Tiburcio and Eugenia Sanchez; her siblings: Ricardo Sanchez and his wife Elizabeth. Sylvia and her husband Dan Van Coppenolle and their sons William and John. Daniel Sanchez and his wife Connie and their sons, Danny and Sammy, and Elisa and her husband Ruben Gallegos Jr., and their sons Ruben III and Raul Alfonso. She will also be dearly missed by her numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. with the recitation of the holy rosary at 7 p.m. on Sunday, March 22, 2009 in the East Chapel of Darling-Mouser Funeral Home. The Mass of Christian Resurrection will be at 3 p.m. on Monday, March 23, 2009 at St. Marys Catholic Church, 1914 Barnard Road, Brownsville. Burial arrangements are pending.
Ricardo Sanchez, Daniel Sanchez, Ruben Gallegos Jr., Dan VanCoppenolle, William VanCoppenolle, and John VanCoppenolle are honored to be serving as Connies pallbearers.
