Maria E. Paredes

BROWNSVILLE, TX. - Maria E. Paredes entered into eternal rest on Sunday, the 10th of October 2021 at her residence in Brownsville surrounded by her family. She was ninety-one years of age.

Preceding Maria in death was her husband, Juan N. Paredes; her parents, Perfecto and Maria Elena Reyes; and her brother, Ernesto Reyes (Sara).

Survivors include her daughters, Maria Elena Garcia (John Kushmaul) and Santos M. Recio (Armando); grandchildren Dustin Kushmaul, Maya Kushmaul, Aaron Recio, and Diego Recio; and extended family members and friends.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, the 14th October 2021, between the hours of five o’clock in the afternoon and nine o’clock at night, with the recitation of the holy rosary to begin at seven o’clock in the evening within the East Chapel of Darling-Mouser Funeral Home.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at half past one o’clock in the afternoon on Friday, the 15th of October 2021 at the historic Immaculate Conception Cathedral, 1218 E. Jefferson Street, Brownsville. Committal services will follow, via an escorted procession, at Buena Vista Burial Park, 5 McDavitt Boulevard, Brownsville.
