Mrs. Marian G. Druley, 94, beloved mother, grandmother, greatgrandmother, and friend entered into the glory of her eternal life on Sunday, April 4, 2010 at Valley Baptist Medical CenterHarlingen surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born in Mackinaw, Illinois on December 8, 1915 and had been a resident of Brownsville since 1956. She was a member of Central Christian Church. Mrs. Druley was an office administrator and her last position was at DarlingMouser Funeral Home where she was a dedicated and faithful employee for 19 years. She decided it was time to retire and reap the rewards of many long years of work when she hit 90. Mrs. Druley enjoyed working on crossword puzzles and word searches.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Frank M. Druley her parents: John and Emma Genseal and a brother, Walter Genseal.
Left behind to eternally treasure their memories of her is her daughter: Judith Judy Carl Cooper and her son John Nely Druley the grandchildren that were her pride and joy: Jennifer John Mosteller, Joan Dan Mailloux, Stephanie Druley, Derek Joy Druley, John Brian Druley, and Michelle Druley and 2 greatgrandsons: Connor Mosteller and Campbell Druley. She will also be missed by her friends and former coworkers at DarlingMouser Funeral Home.
The family will be greeting friends on Wednesday, April 7, 2010 from 5 to 8 p.m. A graveside service is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 8th at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens. Juan Jose Gallegos, Oscar Alvarez, Crispin Cris Garza, Rodolfo Renteria, Loraine G. Knoch, and Paul Leal are honored to be serving as Mrs. Druleys pallbearers.
