Mariana Sargent, 72, beloved mother, motherinlaw, grandmother, and friend, entered into the glory of her eternal life on Sunday, January 9, 2011 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville surrounded by her loving family.
A native of Michoacn, Mexico, Mariana had been a resident of Brownsville for many years. She was a devoted wife and mother who gave her all for family and friends. She was a superb role model for her children and grandchildren and she leaves a legacy of good moral values in them. She was a superb and gracious hostess who loved getting her family and friends
together. A strong and courageous woman, Mariana also exuded warmth to those around her. She was always there to listen and lend a helping hand to one and all. Mariana will be dearly missed by all those fortunate to have known her.
Mariana was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde E. Sargent.
Left to eternally treasure her memory are her children: Mina Sargent, Claudio E. Sargent, Eloina R. Sargent, Jaime Sargent, and Edsal Sargent her grandchildren: Claudia A. Garza, Claudio E. Sargent Jr., Crixelle A. Sargent, Samantha Sargent, Steven Sargent, Miguel Raya Jr., Edsal L. Sargent, Amanda Sargent, Jessica and Janett Ruiz a greatgranddaughter, Cyara A. Reyes a niece, Anne Marie Sargent and numerous other relatives in Mexico.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 11, 2011 from 10 a.m. to 9p.m., with the holy rosary to be recited at 7 p.m., at DarlingMouser Funeral Home. Visitation will resume at 10 a.m., Wednesday, January 12, 2011 in the East Chapel with a chapel service beginning at 3 p.m. at DarlingMouser Funeral Home.
Interment will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park. Steven Sargent, Claudio E. Sargent, Jr., Daniel Gonzalez, Jesus Saenz, Avin Montellano, Alfonzo Cartas and Lenin Cook are honored to be serving as her pallbearers.
