Marie Stella Anazelle Hinojosa Hernandez

Marie Stella Anazelle Hinojosa Hernandez entered into eternal rest surrounded by her loving family early Memorial Day Morning (May 25, 2015).
Born in September of 1937 she was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. She was preceded in death by her parents Abelardo and Benedicta Hinojosa, her husband Roberto Raul Hernandez, and daughter Alicia Lucinda Hernandez Rodriguez. She is survived by her sons: Robert Jr, Luis (Rita) and Rey Hernandez; her daughter, Diana Hernandez (Jim) Holt, son-in-law, Marcus Rodriguez; her brother, Abel (Kathryn) Hinojosa; sisters, Benedicta Moxon and Magdalena "Tita" (Bill) Stewart, and her grandchildren: Luis, Dominic, Bianca, Alejandra and Adriana.
Stella was a woman of great Catholic faith; after graduating from Villa Maria she wed and insisted all five children also attend Catholic School. She graduated from Pan American University and pursued a career in education. She obtained a math teaching position at James Pace High school, where she remained until she retired 22 years later. She enjoyed her time off and kept active with church and her Bunco group. She enjoyed frequent trips to San Antonio to visit family and friends.
The family would like to give special thanks to Elizabeth Reyes and Dr. Lorenzo Pelly for their enormous care and devotion to their mother.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2015 in the East Chapel at Darling-Mouser Funeral Home with the recitation of the holy rosary at 7 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 28, 2015 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 1914 Barnard Rd. with interment to follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
Invited to carry Stella to her final resting place are: Dominic Hernandez, Marcus Rodriguez, Jim Holt, Robert Hernandez, Luis Hernandez and Rey Hernandez.
