BROWNSVILLE, TX. — Mario Alberto García Solis entró en el descanso eterno el martes 2 de julio de 2024 en la comodidad de su residencia de Brownsville rodeado de su amada familia. Tenía setenta y tres años de edad.

Mario nació en Matamoros, Tamaulipas, México el 20 de octubre de 1950, hijo de Roberto García Martínez y María Micaela Solís Estrada. Asistió a la Facultad de Derecho de la Universidad Autónoma de Tamaulipas donde recibió su título de abogado. Ejerció como abogado antes de incursionar en el sector inmobiliario comercial como corredor. Sus pasatiempos favoritos incluían leer, pescar, tomar café y, lo más importante, pasar tiempo con su familia y amigos.

El horario de visita será el lunes 08 de julio de 2024, entre las la una de la tarde y las nueve de la noche, con el rezo del Santo Rosario a partir de las siete de la noche del lunes inmediatamente seguido por un servicio de capilla dentro de la Capilla Este de Funeraria Darling-Mouser.

BROWNSVILLE, TX. - Mario Alberto García Solis entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, the 2nd of July 2024 in the comfort of his Brownsville residence surrounded by his loving family. He was seventy-three years of age.

Mario was born in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico on October 20, 1950, son of Roberto Garcia Martinez and Maria Micaela Solis Estrada. He attended Facultad de Derecho de la Universidad Autonoma de Tamaulipas where he received his law degree. He practiced as an attorney before venturing into commercial real estate as a broker. His favorite pastimes included reading, fishing, drinking coffee, and most importantly, spendimg time with his family and friends.

Preceding Mario in death were his parents, Roberto García  Martinez and Maria M. Solis de García , and his sister, Marta N. García Solis.

Survivors include his loving and devoted wife, Leonila García; his children, Mayra De la Cruz (Leonardo De la Cruz, Jr.) and Alex García; his grandchildren Celeste, Isabella, and Gisella De la Cruz; his sisters, Silvia M. García de Trevino (Jose Juan Trevino) and Antonieta García Solis; his cousin, Jorge García Porras; and numerous extended family members.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, the 8th of July 2024 between the hours of one o'clock in the afternoon and nine o'clock at night, with the recitation of the holy rosary to begin at seven o'clock Monday evening, immediately followed by a chapel service, within the East Chapel of Darling-Mouser Funeral Home. Cremation will follow.
