LOS FRESNOS, TX. – Mary Annie Melia Boudreaux 78, beloved wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, entered into the glory of her eternal life on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at her residence in Los Fresnos surrounded by her loving family.
Mary was born on October 3, 1942 in Honolulu, Hawaii, daughter of John Pane Richie and Fannie Mahelona Richie. Later, she worked and resided in Louisiana before moving to Texas with her family whom she loved immensely. Mary enjoyed cooking, working in her yard, and tending to her garden. She also enjoyed solving crossword puzzles and crocheting. A devout Catholic, she was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Brownsville. Mary will always be remembered as a sweet lady with a good heart to those fortunate enough to have known her. She will be profoundly missed by all those whose lives she touched.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, John Pane Richie and Fannie Mahelona Richie; siblings John Lehva Richie (Irene), Francis Militante (Suanne), and Blanche Militante; and by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Wallace Joseph Boudreaux, Sr. and Enola Morgan Boudreaux.
Left to eternally treasure their memory of her is her loving and devoted husband, Wallace Joseph Boudreaux, Jr.; children Kalani Trahan, Melia Trahan, Keoki Trahan (Andrea), and Kalei Boudreaux (Eliseo Ramirez); her sister, Jane Kalei Louise Chung (John +); eleven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters-in-law and numerous other family members and a host of friends.
Visiting Hours will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 602 E. Elizabeth Street, Brownsville, TX 78520 on Thursday, August 12, 2021 from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M., with a recitation of the holy rosary scheduled for 7 o’clock Thursday evening.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, August 13, 2021 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 602 E. Elizabeth Street, Brownsville, TX 78520.
Committal services will follow, via an escorted procession, at Buena Vista Burial Park, 5 McDavitt Boulevard, Brownsville, Texas 78521.
