Mary E. Mcmeekin

Mary E. McMeekin, 65, of Los Fresnos, formerly of Brownsville, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, April 24, 2008 at SunShine Haven surrounded by her loving family.

Mary was born in Washington, D.C. to William Walton and Helen Adair Johnson Golway. She had been employed as an information counselor at the South Padre Island Visitors Center for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William Bill McMeekin and a great-granddaughter, Sandi Jae Garza. She is survived by her children, Lana E. Lyle of Port Isabel, TX, Neil E. Lyle Gina of Mechanicsville, MD and Kori E. KittsAllen of Los Fresnos, her grandchildren, Heather Richard, Derric, Ashley and Dillon and all her furry friends.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at 2p.m., in the chapel of Darling-Mouser Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Marys name to the Humane Society, 1106 Markowsky St., Harlingen, Texas 78550.
