Matilde Rangel Leal, 79, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt entered into the glory of her eternal life on Sunday, Jan. 8, 2017, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Tile, as she was affectionately known to all, was a native and lifetime resident of Brownsville. Tile was a devoted wife and mother who gave her all for her family. Tile was a longtime parishioner at Immaculate Conception Cathedral. Tile was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed not only by her family and friends but by all those fortunate enough to have known her.
Tile was preceded in death by her husband, Eduardo Leal Sr.; a son, Ricardo Leal; her parents, Maria Elena and Raul Rangel; and several siblings.
Left behind to eternally treasure the memories they have of Tile are her children: Eduardo "Eddie" Leal Jr. and his wife Deborah, Christina Leal, Gerardo "Gerry" Leal and his wife Aleyda, Leonardo "Lenny" Leal and his wife Beth, Reynardo "Rey" Leal and his wife Jill, and Gabriel "Gabe" Leal; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren with two that are on the way. Tile will also be missed by her siblings: George Rangel, Gaston Rangel and his wife Linda, and Reymundo (Eva+) Rangel along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
Visitation will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 10th, 2017, and continue through 9:30 a.m. prior to the Funeral Mass which is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 10th, 2017, at Immaculate Conception Cathedral, 1218 East Jefferson St. Committal services will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
Tile's sons and grandsons are honored to be serving as pallbearers for their beloved mother and grandmother.
