Melanie "Mely" Moral Reiter

RANCHO VIEJO, TX. - Melanie “Mely” Moral Reiter, 78, beloved wife, daughter, and mother, was called to her eternal resting place on Saturday, the 15th March 2025. She entered this world on April 13, 1946 in San Luis Potosí, México, born to Luís Moral Stüssy and Maria Magdalena Gual Dey.

Melanie enjoyed her youth in Tampico, México. She settled for over 40 years on St. Simons Island, Georgia, then more recently moved to Rancho Viejo, Texas, to be near her family following the passing of her husband.

Melanie was preceded in death by her parents; by her husband, Richard Reiter; and by her grandson, Christopher Reiter.

She is survived by her son, Nicholas Reiter (Ana Mary) and family; her daughter, Angie Reiter and child; and by her siblings and their respective families: Magdalena Moral Combs, Martha Moral Schulte, Laura Moral Joers, Luís Moral Gual, Gonzalo Moral Gual, Nicolás Moral Gual, and Dr. Jorge Moral Gual.
