Miguel Angel Garza

Miguel Angel Garza, 88, entered into the glory of his eternal life on Friday, November 04, 2011, 2011 in Brownsville surrounded by his loving family.

A native of La Grulla,Texas born to Gregorio Garza Quiroga and Guadalupe Vera Garza September 29, 1923. He was a resident of Brownsville for many years.

Mr. Garza was preceded in death by his loving wife of 72 years, Josefina P. Garza his parents, Gregorio and Guadalupe Garza his brothers, Ubaldo Garza, Agustin Garza, Amado Garza , Gregorio Garza, Jr., and Ramon Garza sisters, Guadalupe G. Maldonado and Margarita Cantu.

He is survived by his children, Miguel Angel Leonor Garza, Jr., Jesus Gabriela Garza, Ma. del Rosario Francisco Serrata, Ma. Antonieta Lucio Cortinas, Carlos Garza, Margarita Reynaldo Gonzalez, Sr., Enrique Garza, and Josefina Oscar Maldonado 28 grandchildren and 34 greatgrandchildren. Also, by his sister, Braulia Garza.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. and continue through 9 p.m. with the recitation of the holy rosary at 7 p.m. on Sunday, November 6, 2011 in the East Chapel DarlingMouser Funeral Home. The Mass of Christian Resurrection will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 7, 2011 at Mary Mother of the Church St. Marys, 1914 Barnard Rd., Brownsville, TX. Interment will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
His grandsons will be pallbearers, Carlos Garza Jr., Oscar Maldonado Jr., Charlie Serrata, Luis Garza Jr. , Roberto Cortinas, Luis Carlos Gonzalez, Miguel Cortinas, Reynaldo Gonzalez, Jr., and Lucio Cortinas, Jr.
