Maria Luisa Tadey Sandoval, 94, our beloved cousin and aunt, entered into the glory of her eternal life on Wednesday, September 19, 2012, at Brownsville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center surrounded by her loving family.
A native and lifetime resident of Brownsville, Wicha as she was affectionately known to all, was the daughter of Apolonio Sandoval and Caritina Tadey de Sandoval. Wicha was a graduate of Brownsville High School, R M School of Business, and attended Texas Southmost College. She was a faithful and dedicated employee for the Brownsville Independent School District Tax Office for 32 years. A devout Catholic, she was a lifetime member of Immaculate Conception Cathedral. Wicha was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by those fortunate to have known her.
Miss Sandoval was preceded in death by her parents: Apolonio and Caritina Tadey Sandoval her maternal grandparents: Jose and Luisa Buentello Tadey and her aunt, Maria Teresa Tadey Guzman.
Left behind to eternally treasure their memories of her is her cousin, Irma Tadey Guzman Frank Guerra her nieces: Anna William Guerra Coligan and Liza Robert Guerra Kuerth three grandnieces: Lisa Coligan, Lauren Kuerth, and Kaitlyn Kuerth and a grandnephew, Greg Coligan and other extended family members.
Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. today, Friday, September 21, 2012, and continue through 9 p.m. in the East Chapel at DarlingMouser Funeral Home with the recitation of the holy rosary at 7 p.m. this evening. The Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. tomorrow, Saturday, September 22, 2012, at Immaculate Conception Cathedral, 1218 E. Jefferson St. Committal services will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
William Coligan, Robert Kuerth, Greg Coligan, Michael Guerra, Oscar Buentello and Arturo Buentello are honored to be serving as Wichas pallbearers.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude and sincere appreciation to the staff at Brownsville Nursing and Rehab Center, Valley Regional Hospital, and Dr. Lorenzo Pelly for the compassionate care they provided to our beloved cousin and aunt. May God continue to bless all of you as you minister to others.
