BROWNSVILLE, TX. - Nicholas James Cruciani, a proud veteran of the United States Army, passed away on Sunday, the 8th September 2024, at his home in Brownsville, Texas. He was 49 years of age.

Nick was born on October 20, 1974 in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. Nick’s family moved to Dubuque, Iowa towards the end of his 6th grade year and this is where he called home. He graduated from Hempstead High School. After high school he served his country in the United States Army as a part of the 101st Airborne Division in Fort Campbell, Kentucky and the 25th Infantry Division in Scholfield Barracks, Hawaii. 

In his free time, Nick loved to read and deeply enjoyed the arts. He was always checking up on others and truly cared for those who were important to him in his life. He enjoyed visiting his home and loved ones in Dubuque during the summers. He will be deeply missed by all. 

Nick was preceded in death by his grandparents, Nicholas Ronaldo Cruciani, Joan Cruciani, Roland Kelley, and Eileen Kelley. 

Nick is survived by his children, Vance Duve (Brooke), Jackson Cruciani (Danielle), Drew Cruciani (Alliyah), and Colson Cruciani; his parents, Jim and Mary Cruciani; his siblings, Tony Cruciani (Shia) and Kim Cruciani (Joe); a grandson, Asher Duve; his nieces, Fiona Cruciani-Wirth and Zoey Cruciani-Wirth; his best friend, Mario Vega; and his childhood best friend, Mike Duve. 

Nick’s family would like to thank all of his friends and loved ones for all the care they have given him. Nick’s memory will remain in the hearts of his family, friends, and all those who were lucky enough to have known and loved him. 

Funeral Services are currently pending with Hoffmann Schneider & Kitchen Funeral Home and Crematory in Dubuque, Iowa.
